Goodwill of Southern Nevada - Goodwill's mission is to aid the unemployed. 92% of the money generated through sales of clothing and other items by local area residents, goes to help the unemployed. Through its' Career Connections program, Goodwill teaches computer, interview and resume skills. In fact, in 2007, Goodwill helped place 700 area residents into jobs. Emergency Aid of Boulder City - Helping the citizens of Boulder City for over 40 years, the organizations main goal is to provide emergency help for people - either residents or stranded travelers- who need temporary help. Everything form emergency car repairs, rent assistance, temporary lodging, utility payment help, auto fuel, emergency health care and job assistance. Safe Nest - In 2007, Safe Nest helped over 50,000 area residents affected by domestic abuse. Safe Nest operates an emergency shelter, a 24-hour hotline and a counseling center for victoms and their children, as well as a program for teens who are themselves abusing.
