My wife and I bought our house in 2008 and we went through two other realtors before we stumbled upon Jay. Jay was and is patient, willing to explain options, give opinions, is honest, and worked hard as the agent in our corner. We spent three or four months looking at homes on the weekends and sometimes during the week - Jay was always willing to drive to every house on my list(s). Planning an eventual move to Las Vegas, I wanted to learn all I could about the city and its area’s before purchasing a home. In the early stages of research, I responded to a blind ad and received a prompt and courteous reply from Jay Wood of Las Vegas Realty Resources. I would come to learn over the next few years that Jay was not the typical realtor you hear so much about, but an individual truly interested in client satisfaction.

Though what was in the ad was not of interest when I received the details, Jay called me in Illinois and began working with me to identify what type of property and area would best suit my needs. We agreed to meet during my next trip out to preview different properties and areas. I explained that I would not be purchasing for some time due to commitments in Illinois, but needed someone to help me learn the market so I’d be ready when the time came. Jay was fine with this and I have to say he’s a man of his word, we have been working together for almost 3 years !

Our first meeting was in January of 2007 and Jay has spent time with me on every trip I’ve made to Las Vegas. He has shown me properties I’ve found on Realtor.com and always had some of his own to show as well. Some of the areas previewed were Desert Shores, Summerlin, Peccole Ranch, Spanish Trails, Henderson, the Lakes, Spanish Oaks, McNeil Estates, Rancho Park, Rancho Vista, Downtown Las Vegas, Sunrise Mountain communities and many more. We have looked at new homes, fixers, those in good condition, high rises, townhouses and foreclosures.

I’ve changed direction as well as reducing price limits, yet Jay continued to work with me. With my target areas identified and my move imminent, I’ve tried to purchase a few in the last few months but without success. Since move time was here, Jay took the time to show me rentals and make sure I had somewhere to go when I arrived in Las Vegas. Jay handled appliance deliveries and met utility company workers to ensure the home would be ready when I got in.

Now that I’m here, I will continue to work with Jay to find the right home for me and will actively recommend him to anyone. No matter what price range or timetable, Jay Wood will make the effort and spend the time to find you the right home!
